Reskilling Resources

  • Skills Off The Grid
Skills Off The Grid is an educational resource offering high-quality, low cost workshops to get people back to basics.

  • Hilltop Hanover Farm
Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center is a working crop farm and environmental educational center located in Yorktown Heights, NY.  The farm was a former dairy farm dating back to the 1600's. Today the farm is a regional education center that offers programs on healthy and sustainable food production and teaches skills for small-scale suburban and urban farming techniques, illustrating sustainable living practices for the region and local communities.

  • Stone Barns Center
Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a non-profit farm and education center located just 25 miles north of Manhattan in Pocantico Hills, New York. Stone Barns operates an 80-acre four-season farm and is working on broader initiatives to create a healthy and sustainable food system. Through our Growing Farmers Initiative, children’s education programs, and diverse public awareness programs, we aim to improve the way America eats and farms.

  • Roots and Wings
Roots and Wings, a sustainable living project of South Church in Dobbs Ferry offers green spirituality programs, gardening workshops and permaculture  presentations. Their goal is to learn how to "feed our bodies, regenerate the environment and nourish our spirits.”

  • InterGenerate
InterGenerate builds strong communities on a healthy planet. Creating environmental and social sustainability around shared concerns for food security, InterGenerate reaches across traditional social boundaries to bring people together to grow our food locally, sharing the work while deepening ties to each other. InterGenerate is founding both community and teaching gardens and promoting local resourcing throughout the County.
